March Degustabox Review

I did it, I finally did it. I can not tell you how long I have wanted to subscribe to Degustabox and I finally did it. I don't know what was holding me back really as its not expensive and you can unsubscribe at any time, I was just in one of those should I, shouldn't I kind of moods. If this is you, do it! I promise you won't regret it. You get up to 14 foodie items, some are doubled so you get more for your buck, the box is £12.99 a month but the products inside add up to over £20! So let me tell you about the products in this months box...

1. Brioche Pasquier £1.40

I have had the mini brioche from this brand before and they are pretty delicious, so I new as soon as I saw these I was going to love them. The packet contains four Pains au Chocolat with creme patisserie inside, you can eat them straight out of the packet which is great for a quick on the go breakfast or for picnics, or you can heat them up in the oven for a breakfast in bed vibe.

(Mug Cake was an added extra)

2. Weetabix On the Go 2 x £1.50

These drinks contain extra proteins that will keep you fuller for longer, energised and ready for the day ahead. They are packed with vitamins and have no artificial colours, flavours and all that jazz. In my box I got the blueberry and blackberry flavour and the strawberry and raspberry flavour. I haven't actually tried these yet as I am lactose intolerant and they contain milk, so I have handed them out to my family to try.

3. Good Hemp Original £1.49

Okay. Hemp milk. I have this thing where milk that doesn't come from an animal freaks me out. Like almond milk, or rice milk, it just doesn't sound right. Although I am lactose intolerant, I only have soy milk in my tea if I am out and about, at home I have Lactose free as it is still cows milk. This hemp milk is totally dairy free and is made from hemp seeds, which all sounds perfect for me. I am a little skeptical as to what this is going to taste like... I'll get back to you when I pluck up the courage to try it.

4. Pipers Cheddar and Onion Crips £2.00

Crisps are my weakness, especially cheese and onion, so when I saw this big sharing bag, although totally not for sharing, I new that they wouldn't last long. The flavour from these was like no other cheese and onion crisps I've had before, it was so strong and really tasty. My favourite product from this months box!

5. Metcalfe's Skinny Sweet Popcorn £1.50

Who doesn't love sweet cinema style popcorn? I eeked with excitement when I saw this in the box as I just love sweet popcorn. I often buy a bag to snack on when I am busy writing blog posts or just to have in bed with Jake when watching films. What's even better about this popcorn is that is has 67% less sugar than all other sweet popcorn on the market and you can't even tell the difference! Guilt free snacking, yes please.

6. Kent's Kitchen Apricot, Apple and Ginger Stuffing £1.85

Kent's Kitchen stuffings are made with all natural ingredients with chunky pieces of fruit, herbs and spices. As with other dried stuffing all you have to do is add water and bake in the oven. I love flavoured stuffing, especially at Christmas time so this will be great to add to a Sunday roast to give it extra flavour.

7. Karyatis Meze Mediterranean Red Pepper and Feta Dip £1.99

A sweet and smokey roasted red pepper and tangy feta dip, with crunchy rosemary crackers, packed in a handy box so you can enjoy it anywhere. I do love mediterranean flavours and this ticks all the boxes, I enjoyed this with a meze night and it was great paired with couscous.

8. Chewits 4 x 35p

I haven't had Chewits for years so when I saw these in the box a little piece of my child hood screamed out at me. I remember having the sour ones once and my eyes watering so much where I couldn't handle them. Any one else remember those? I was slightly relieved to see the strawberry and blackcurrant ones in there and can you believe they have been around for 50 years? It goes without saying that they didn't last long.

9. Lidt White Chocolate Bunny (100g) £2.99

Hello cute little bunny of greatness. White chocolate is my favourite type of chocolate and having it in bunny form pleased me greatly.

10. Parle Hide and Seek Biscuits 59p
   Parle Monaco Biscuits 39p

Two products from India were included in this months box. Hide and Seek are thin chocolate chip cookies in square form, perfect for dipping in tea! Monaco are light, thin savoury biscuits sprinkled with salt, think Ritz biscuits. I like to dip them in cream cheese or humous, if that's your kind of thing or just simply on their own.

11. Kallo Quinoa and Seeds Multigrain Cakes £1.89
Kallo Milk Chocolate Rice Cake Rounds £1.00

The quinoa and seed multigrain cakes come in a pack of six, they contain sunflower, sesame and pumpkin seeds. They are perfect for snacking on their own or topped with your favourite ingredients  for a light healthy lunch. The Rice cakes contain smooth Belgian chocolate on top of puffed wholegrain rice. At only 78 calories per cake, snacking is made easy, so if you are watching your weight these make the perfect sweet treat.

My favourite products from this months box has to be the the crisps and the popcorn, because I am a snack addict! My least favourite product although I am yet to try it is the hemp milk, I'll keep you posted on how my first tasting goes on my twitter. I'd love to know if you have Degusta and what your favourite products were, or if I should try any other food subscription boxes.
