Christmas Table Decorations

If you have been following my posts you would see I have been featuring various themes for table decorations. I know its early and I really shouldn't have dressed my table for Christmas already.. I haven't left it on the table don't worry! But I have thought about how I want the table to look already and I did say forward planning was my specialty. I have taken inspiration from my gold and silver theme I featured yesterday as I think it makes the table look really elegant yet Christmassy at the same time. I have also added a splash of red into my theme as it gives it that Christmassy feel with colours that are associated with the season.

I think the gold and silver Baubles in the glass gives it an elegant touch and adds that extra splash of colour to the table. The table runner separates the decorations to the rest of the table and gives the table balance. The red candle holders have reindeer printed on them which light up when a candle is lit, as they are shiny it adds to the elegant feel of the table. The gold string is just gold wrapping ribbon which you can find in anywhere this time of year! I have added place names as there is always so many of us at Christmas time, seating becomes an important issue you know couples with couples, who has enough room etc. The little invitations I have put on the table are from Paperchase, I just think they are a really fun thing to add to the table and again completes the theme.

You can find the gold wrapping ribbon and baubles anywhere, I didn't have to buy any as we already had these in the loft. The red candle holders and gold wine glasses were a gift and im not sure where they came from, here are some alternatives if you like the look of my table:

These red lanterns are a great alternative as they will bring warmth to the table and will still keep the theme running through, also a steal at £2.00 each and once Christmas is over you could keep them outside in the garden! Lanterns here:

For the wine glasses just a plain wine glass would work with the baubles inside as it will still have the same effect.
