Hello lovely people, I thought I would share with you some of the food related gifts I received for Christmas. I just want to say that I am not bragging about what I got or 'showing off' in any way, I just wanted to share with you my most loved presents. All were gifts from my family and Jake and I am extremely grateful for everything I was given.
First up is this gorgeous apron from Cath Kidston. I've been wanting a new apron for a while now and I have longed for a vintage inspired one so when I received this cute heart designed one from Jake I was extremely grateful and can't wait to show off my inner domestic goddess in it.
Next up are these adorable measuring spoons by Laura Ashley. It comes with four of the most used and important measurements that you need when baking. I love the blue flower design and that each spoon has a different pattern on it, also I love that they are separate so that the other spoons don't get in the way like the metal ones I use currently.
Jake got me something that I have wanted for a long time but never could justify the price for one pot. When I use food colouring I have tried many different supermarket brands and have never quite got the colour I desired or it had no effect at all. That's where these come in, gel food colouring is the holy grail of food colouring. However, they can be a little on the expensive side just for one pot. I new I was getting these as I spotted the bargain on Amazon, they were £9.00 for 8 jars so I new I had to get them! I haven't tried them out yet but I can't wait to see how they turn out.
I've seen this book floating around Twitter so I had a look to see what it was all about, and once I did I put it straight on my Christmas wish list. I am always on the look out for new flavour inspirations and trying to work out what would go with another flavour and this book does exactly that. The Flavour Thesaurus contains different categories such as 'Spicy' and 'Roasted' and then inside those it has flavours in which it pairs each flavour with other flavours. For example under the roasted section comes chocolate, then it pairs everything that chocolate could possibly go with like: Chocolate and almond or chocolate and coconut.
Have you ever been to a Tiger shop? Bristol has recently gained one and I am obsessed! I love it, I could spend hours in there, no joke. This was in my stocking from Jake and I think they are adorable, I love making my cupcakes look beautiful and these will come in handy for a Valentines inspired bake!
I wanted a mug with my initial on for ages now, I have the letter K in a few places in my bedroom so why not carry on the trend.. My mum got me the one of the left and then my friend got me the one of the right, I think they know my obsession with mugs... trust me I have far too many.
And finally I couldn't not put this cute guy on here! My sister got me this mug from John Lewis and I absolutely love it! How cute is it? I just wish that I loved hot chocolates because this would be the perfect mug to have one in.
I would love to hear what things you received at Christmas, leave your comments below!
I love the John Lewis mug!! Every time I go in I pick it up and put it back (I seem to be addicted to mugs!) You've tempted me to get it now x
